Pro-Tech Yacht Services is the new official supplier of Masts, Booms, Spinnaker poles and parts for the Martin 241 and 242 Classes as of early 2025.
New masts and booms will be produced in late 2026 in BC by Pro-Tech Yacht Services, working with extrusions from Apex Aluminum Extrusions in Langley - see this section on the Fleet 1 & 2 website:
Pro-Tech has developed and inventoried a full list of M241/242 mast, boom, and spinnaker pole parts, and also sells Harken equipment and various control lines and halyards. They can also make or repair pulpits and pushpits for Martin 242’s.
Pricing for various components will be announced by the end of July 2026, as follows:
- Mast assembly and fabrication (from 2 bare 21’ tubes): TBD
- Boom assembly and fabrication (from 1 bare 21’ tube): TBD
- Spinnaker pole assembly and fabrication (from 1 bare 8’ tubes): TBD, but approximately $1000 plus tax. The pole is anodized and has an upper and lower bridle and 2” Forespar UXP ends. Photo of a sample pole can be found on the Fleet 1 / 2 Buy/Sell sub-site.
