The Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay that is situated on the waterfront just east of Fisherman's Wharf has about 25 to 30 rooms available at this time, so competitors can make their own reservations directly with the hotel. It is likely that a number of B&B's in town will have availability also, and a list of them can be found here: https://www.cowichanbay.com/businesses/categories/stay/ and here (among other search sites) https://www.lodging-world.com/

The Oceanfront Suites pool, sauna, washrooms, and showers will probably be reopened by mid to late-August for competitors who are camping or staying on boats at various Marinas. In the past competitors have been able to purchase a 10-visit access card for CDN$50, which is good for one year. TBD for 2021.

The Manager of the Cowichan Bay Fisherman's Wharf has graciously agreed to allow small tents on the docks beside competitor 242's and motherships for the first time ever. Competitors must allow a 2' walkway on one side of their tents for safety reasons. The docks are about 8' wide, plus the bullrails.

The Cowichan Bay Fisherman’s Wharf also has washrooms and showers in the main north-end dock building, as well as laundry facilities. Some other marinas in Cow Bay also have washrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.

Camping

Fraser McMillan, who is racing on Swift in the CDN Championships, has a house with a large property about 15 minutes by car from Cow Bay.

He has kindly offered to let competitors camp at his place using tents, vans, or RV's, and will provide access to a washroom and shower onsite. At least one boat is going to take him up on his offer. Contact Fraser at 1-250-812-6420.
